I am sitting in a face to face conference, on of 4 events, that is part of a 3-4 year full online Ph.D program. This morning we are sitting in a traditional lecture with a list of Ph.Ds adn Ed.Ds who ironically all graduated from brick and mortar tradiational universities. What does that say about credibility of the online university? Not much use of instructional technology in this program other then good old slides and lecture.
What’s interesting about the presenters is that the professors have all taught for many years at traditional brick and mortar institutions and are at a point in their career that for some reason has brought them to the position of an online instructor. Is it for the extra money or as a experiment? Sounds like an interesting statistical analysis.
